[ Article ] Artists with a voice: Backstreet Boys sing for a climate deal
Voici un petit article concernant "Europe For Climate" qui se déroule ce jour à Copenhague au Danemark.....
 "We're not politicians. We're not rocket scientists. We're artists, and we realize that we have a powerful voice."
The Backstreet Boys hope that voice will help convince their young fans that the world needs greener energy sources, says member Brian Littrell.
The four-member American group is performing for free in Copenhagen as history's largest U.N. climate conference begins. They said the emissions from their private jet flight from London had been offset.
"If there's a way to capture the youth's attention to have a better world to live in, that's what were are here for," band member AJ McLean said.
The Backstreet Boys' gig at Copenhagen's small, hip Vega venue is the third and final concert in the "Play to Stop – Europe for Climate" campaign being run the European Union and MTV. American musician Moby gave an August concert in Stockholm, and the British indie band Editors performed in September in Hungary.
The campaign is running in Britain, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania and Sweden.

Backstreet Update: Wrapping Up in Europe

Nick, Howie, Brian and AJ are wrapping up their This Is Us European Tour in mid December, but not before performing for MTV's Climate Change Concert in Copenhagen on Monday December 7th. The concert will start to air in the European markets on December 17th.
At the top of 2010 the Backstreet Boys will release a new product in the US called The Playlist. The Playlist is a new eco-friendly packaged product made of 100% recycled paperboard (no plastic) and a hot playlist of re-mastered hits that are the perfect addition to your BSB collection! A variety of iconic artists will be releasing their Playlists and Playlist: The Very Best of the Backstreet Boys will be amongst the greats! This product will include 14 of the boys' biggest hits, memorable group images, BSB wallpapers and more! Playlist: The Very Best of the Backstreet Boys comes out January 26th.
Also in January, Japan will release the This Is Us Japan Tour Special Limited Edition which will include behind the scenes footage from the photo shoot, "Straight Through My Heart" video shoot and promo trip to Japan along with the "Bigger" video and more!
