The Littrells Get Back to Normal
It’s been a trying week for singer Brian Littrell and his family following the hospitalization of his son Baylee and the six-year-old’s subsequent diagnosis with atypical Kawasaki’s Syndrome, an inflammation of the arteries around the heart.
Not only have Brian and his wife Leighanne had to deal with this personal matter, they’ve had to do so in the media spotlight, which often gets details wrong in the rush for a juicy bit of news.
“There were a lot of stories going around, a lot of wrong information on what was going on,” Leighanne tells OK! in an exclusive interview. “I had heard stories that his heart had hardened or people thought he had cancer, and I just didn’t want it to get so blown up.

Thank you and Merry Christmas from the Dorough Family
The Holidays are a time to reflect and give thanks,
and to apologize for our shortfalls, to be very frank.
After the loss of my father, life hasn’t been the same.
Although our lives continue, they continue with much pain.
I know it is late, six months to be exact,
since the day my father left us, as a matter of fact.
But it’s time to acknowledge, the kindness you expressed
during our days of mourning, when we were most depressed.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat upon a chair.
Perhaps you sent us beautiful flowers. If so, we saw them there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
we thank you sincerely, for whatever your part.
Life will go on with one member less,
but through your love & kindness, we know that we are blessed.
The photo I’ve enclosed, is from Christmas of last year.
A day we’ll always remember, filled with laughter and cheer.

Baylee de retour à la maison
Leighanne vient d'envoyer une update concernant Baylee. Celui-ci est sorti de l'hôpital hier.
Voici le message de Leighanne, envoyé sur la mailing list de Wylee Bags.
To all of our friends and family, we would like to give you a very short version of what we have been going through for the last two weeks.
We really appreciate all of your love and support. You all don't realize how your prayers have changed our lives and how God has blessed Baylee. We are going to release this statement to let everyone know a little more about what has happened. We are deeply touched by all of you.

On Saturday December 20, 2008, Baylee T W Littrell was released from Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
Before being admitted Baylee had been treated for or thought to have had; strep throat, hand, foot, mouth disease and erythema multiforme. After receiving a biopsy, blood tests, an EKG and 2 echocardiograms, Baylee was finally diagnosed with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease. We would like to stress A-Typical because Baylee did not have text book symptoms of any of the viruses they thought he had.
Kawasaki Disease causes inflammation in the coronary arteries as well as the walls of the small and medium sized arteries throughout the body. Unfortunately Baylee’s coronary arteries were effected. He received an IVIG, which is a treatment to bring down the inflammation in his coronary arteries. Baylee will be closely monitor ed for the next 6-8 weeks by a Pediatric Cardiologist to see if the treatment was effective.
We want to thank every one who prayed for us as well as all of the emails and phone calls. Your love and support means so much to our family. The Hospital Staff were absolutely amazing. They made an extremely difficult time in our lives as comfortable as possible.
We are humbled by the love and compassion that people have for our son all over the world, thank you.

For those of you who do not know or have not heard, Baylee Litrell has been in the hospital for the past few days. He will be starting a treatment this afternoon and the Littrell family asks that all Backstreet Boys fans please remember him in prayer during this trying time. Every little prayer helps and every single prayer counts! Brian and Leighanne would also like to wish you all Happy Holidays and to thank for your thoughts and prayers....
More information will follow and we will definitely keep you all updated.....
